Where are you located?
We’re in Oakland’s Temescal District at 4000 Telegraph Avenue. Easy public transit and gated onsite parking.
What kind of courts do you have?
We have 4 premium, indoor, individually fenced courts with pro-level cushioned surfaces.
Are the courts open year-round?
Yes — we’re 100% indoor, rain or shine. Our hours of operation are 8 AM to 10 PM daily. We will have limited hours on certain holidays and closed on Christmas. Check IG for more.
Do you allow non-members to play?
Absolutely! We are open to the public for private bookings, events, Open Play and more. Members can also bring guests with their booking passes(see memberships for detail.) Come experience Pickle Athletics, even if you’re just visiting! Our gym and shower are the only areas that are members-only.

What does your fitness studio have available?
Our studio gym includes cardio machines, free weights, squat rack and cable machine, kettlebells, medicine balls and a full stretching area with yoga supplies and other equipment. It looks out onto the courts which is especially fun for members! We also have a top of the line Clearlight(R) infrared sauna room to keep you loose.
Can I rent the space for a private event?
Yes — we offer customizable rental packages. You can go with a basic package for courts and food or opt to bring in a facilitator/ coach for friendly competition and to level up your game! The show-court is great for 6 to 25 people and we rent all the way up to full buyouts for 100+ person groups. We are happy to host for a range of special moments:

Do you host special events run by the club?
All the time. From weekly socials to competitive tournaments, there’s always something happening at Pickle Athletics. Check out the schedule here.
Do members get discounts?
Yes! ➡️ Members get discounted pricing including 15% off of venue rentals, events, food, and wine. Especially if you are hosting a large event discount makes a membership a no brainer!
How do I book time to play?
You can book in advance or drop in! We recommend booking in advance to ensure you get what you want – Court time Open Play, and events can be reserved in advance via our website or mobile app. You must sign a waiver to book and play.
What are peak and non-peak hours?
Peak hours are the most popular times of play and have higher court reservation fees. Non-peak tend to be hours with lower demand and lower cost!

What do the different passes mean?
Members get passes with their memberships to access all the wonderful amenities of PA:
How do you split costs on court bookings?
Our app lets you 1) use your own booking passes, 2) pay for your guests, or 3) have guests pay. Private court bookings are for up to two hours with $50/h off-peak, $70/h peak. Here are some example scenarios
In a nutshell, the fee is split amongst the players. Members can use passes or pay for peak time. During off-peak, Players pay 50%; Ballers and Founders have unlimited use.
I used up my monthly Passes. Can I still reserve a court or join open play?
Yes — you can always reserve a court or join open play and get the benefit of your advance booking. In this instance you’d pay your share with the 15% discount (or another member could cover you with their passes if you play together!)
